What is Minecraft fabric?

Minecraft fabric is cloth printed with designs originating from the popular Minecraft video game. As of 2015, the makers of Minecraft do not manufacture any officially licensed Minecraft fabric.

While Minecraft-themed fabric is available at some retailers online, it is illegal to sell such fabric, as the images of Minecraft characters and items are the intellectual property of Minecraft's creators. Intellectual property law requires vendors who wish to sell fabric printed with Minecraft images to obtain a license from Minecraft creators. Manufacturing and selling Minecraft-themed fabric without a license is a federal offense punishable by steep fines as well as time in prison.
