Where is Minneapolis?

Minneapolis rests in southeastern Minnesota along the banks of the Mississippi River. With a population of more than 400,000, the city is the largest in the state, and adjoined by fellow "Twin City" St. Paul to the east, which serves as the capital.

Minneapolis serves as the primary business hub between Seattle and Chicago and boasts the fifth-largest concentration of Fortune 500 company headquarters. The nation's largest shopping mall, the Mall of America, is located within the city. Minneapolis is home to four professional sports teams: the Timberwolves, Twins, Vikings and Wild. The city is also the site of the University of Minnesota's main campus.
