What is molar mass?
By Forinfos - 06/07/2025 - 0 comments
Molar mass is the amount of mass in one mole of a substance. A mole is used in chemistry as a counting unit indicating the amount of ions, atoms, molecules or formula units in a specific chemical sample.
The molar mass of a compound indicates the number of grams per mole of the compound, therefore grams per mole are considered the units for molar mass. To figure out the molar mass, the number of each type of atom must be determined. The atomic weight of each element is then multiplied by the number of atoms present in the compound. The results are then added together to find the units of grams per mole.
