What mold counts are considered high and low?

A mold count of 1 to 6,499 spores per cubic meter is considered a low mold count. A count of 13,000 to 49,999 spores per cubic meter is considered high, reports the American Academy of Allergy, Asthma & Immunology.

A mold count is very high when there are more than 50,000 spores per cubic meter, explains the American Academy of Allergy, Asthma & Immunology.

A low mold count causes mild-to-moderate allergic symptoms for very sensitive people. A high or very high mold count produces moderate-to-severe allergic symptoms, according to the Asthma Center.
