GreenDot MoneyPak is no longer available for sale. GreenDot is now focusing on their @ the Register service, which allows customers to reload a prepaid card using cash at retail locations nationwide.
GreenDot MoneyPak was a product which functioned as a method to reload prepaid debit cards, add money to PayPal accounts and make payments without using a bank account. MoneyPak was available at retailers now participating in @ the Register. MoneyPak cards could have a maximum value of $500 loaded on a single card at once but required a minimum of $20 to reload.
GreenDot @ the Register cash reload is available at retailers including Walgreens, Walmart, Kmart, Rite Aid and 7-Eleven, as of April 2015. In order to use @ the Register services, a customer needs to bring a participating prepaid debit card and the cash amount to be loaded. The cashier takes the cash and then swipes the prepaid debit card. Customers receive a receipt after the transaction with the new amount reflected in the prepaid balance. It may take up to 10 minutes before cash loaded using @ the Register is available to spend.
GreenDot's @ the Register service powers PayPal Cash, a service that allows users to add cash to their PayPal account at participating retailers.
