What is Monsanto?

Monsanto Company is a multinational agricultural company based in the United States that deals in the production of genetically engineered seeds. It is also known for manufacturing the Roundup herbicide, which is designed to kill weeds.

Monsato delivers products that are used by farmers throughout the world to increase their yields while conserving natural resources. The company produces seeds of different crops including corn, oilseeds, fruits, cotton and vegetables. As of 2014, the company has 404 facilities in 66 countries across the world. Most of these facilities are based in the U.S. with 146 facilities located in 33 states.
