In order to mount a Whirlpool Duet washer or dryer to a pedestal, remove the drawer from the pedestal, remove the feet from the washer or dryer, align holes and install screws. To prevent vibration, make certain the pedestal feet are in contact with the floor and the lock nuts are securely tightened.
Follow these steps to mount the washer or dryer to a pedestal.
- Set up the machine and pedestal for installation Remove the drawer and ensure the pad spacers are installed on the top of the pedestal. Pull the lever on the left side of pedestal while pressing down on the right lever to pull out drawer. Remove the feet from the washer and dryer.
- Install pedestal Screw in the hexagonal metal screws partially. Tip the pedestal on its back and move it against the appliance. Slide the pedestal keyhole slots over the partially installed screws and install the remaining screws. Align the pedestal with the washer or dryer and secure all screws tightly.
- Level the appliance and pedestal Make certain the four pedestal feet are in contact with the floor and tighten the four lock nuts to prevent excessive vibration. Insert the drawer into the pedestal.
