What is a Mr Slim AC?

The Mr. Slim series of air conditioners, manufactured by Mitsubishi Electric, are split-type units. This series of package air conditioners, designed to be mounted into a wall or ceiling, does not require any ducts for venting.

Split-type air conditioning, like the Mr. Slim brand, utilizes an exterior heat exchanger and compressor that push cold air through pipes to individual room units. As of 2015, the Mr. Slim brands typically retail from $1,300 to $2,100 per room cooling unit, featuring a seasonal energy efficiency ratio rating of 17.5 to 21; the SEER ratio compares cooling British thermal units, or BTUs, to energy consumption. A lower SEER indicates a more efficient unit.
