Judge Judy's bailiff, Petri Hawkins Byrd refuses to reveal his salary, but reports say he has a $3.5 million net worth. Byrd has been the only bailiff on the court show since its creation in 1996.
Byrd had worked as a bailiff for the Brooklyn circuit of the NYC court system and the Family Court division in Manhattan, before writing to Judge Judy in 1996 to inquire if her new TV series needed a bailiff. CBS recently just extended the contract on "Judge Judy" through 2020, and Judge Judy reportedly earns $47 million a year. The standard hourly rate for bailiffs in the United States is $14.07.
