How much do convertible cars cost?

Convertible car prices range from just under $20,000 to over $1 million, as of 2015. The Smart Fortwo, Fiat 500C and Mazda Miata are some of the more affordable convertibles, while Maybach and Porsche produce the most expensive models.

U.S. News & World Report ranks the Ford Mustang as the best affordable convertible. It gives the car a 9 overall rating, a 10 safety rating and a 3 reliability rating. Other cars included in the U.S. News list of top affordable convertibles are the Mazda Miata, MINI Cooper, Nissan 370Z and two Volkswagen vehicles, and all are priced under $35,000. The magazine ranks Porsche, Mercedes and BMW as the top brands for luxury convertibles, with prices up to $200,000.
