How much energy do GE appliances use yearly?

It is impossible to know the total amount of energy used by GE appliances every year due to factors such as the different wattages of different appliances and the amount of time the appliance is used. It is possible for individual households to estimate their GE appliance energy use, however.

A family can calculate the yearly use of energy by a GE appliance by taking the wattage, multiplied by its hours of use per day, divided by one thousand. This produces a daily kilowatt hour consumption estimate. That number can be multiplied by the number of days the appliance is used to estimate the individual household energy use for that GE appliance.
