How much vinegar should I use to clean a coffee pot?

To clean a coffee pot, fill the reservoir with equal parts water and distilled white vinegar. By running the mixture through a cycle in the coffee maker, the entire appliance is cleaned.
After filling the reservoir, turn the machine on and let it run through half the cycle. At the halfway point, turn off the machine. Let the system sit for an hour, and then turn the machine back on to finish the cycle. At the end, throw away the vinegar mixture. Run the machine a few times with plain water. For best results, clean the coffee maker once a month.
