Where are the NAT settings located on a NETGEAR router?

To switch between open and secure NAT settings on a NETGEAR router, simply click on the ADVANCED tab in the WPS Wizard, click the setup option, and locate the WAN Setup option. The option to have open or secure filtering is clearly marked under this tab.

The NAT filtering option is an important one because it determines how a router deals with inbound traffic. It keeps a PC secure thanks to a secure firewall, but may interfere with online games and some multimedia apps. Be aware that opening the NAT filtering option allows almost all internet apps to work, but the computer is at increased risk from viruses and malware.
