Do you need an adult immunization record to immigrate?

As of 2016, the United States requires 14 vaccinations for immigration to the country, according to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. Immigrants must have vaccinations against rubella, pertussis, hepatitis A and B, meningococcal disease and influenza. Other required vaccinations are those for measles, polio, rotavirus, varicella and mumps.

Immigrants to the United States must also be immunized against tetanus, diphtheria, Haemophilus influenzae type B and pneumococcal disease, notes the CDC. As of 2009, human papillomavirus and zoster vaccines are no longer required. Potential immigrants must show proof of vaccination at their incoming medical exam. If they have no proof of vaccination, they receive the vaccines during the exam.
