Where is Nepal?

Nepal is situated in southern Asia. It is bordered by China to the north and India to the south, east and west. Nepal is located along the Himalayas. The country does not have any coastline, as it is a landlocked country.

Nepal covers a total area of about 57,000 square miles, making it a little larger than the state of Arkansas, and the 94th largest country in the world. As of 2014, Nepal has a population estimated to be over 30.9 million people, making it the 42nd most populated country in the world. The capital and largest city of Nepal is Kathmandu. As of 2011, Kathmandu has a population approaching 980,000 people.
