The newest BlackBerry phone on the market in 2014 is the BlackBerry Classic, released in December that year. Cnet.com rated the model at 7.3 on a 10-point scale, while TheVerge.com gave it a lower score at 5 out of 10.

Also called the BlackBerry Q20, the Classic has a stainless-steel frame, a physical 35-key QWERTY keyboard with an optical trackpad and a navigation panel with customizable shortcuts. The square-screened model runs on a BlackBerry 10.3.1 operating system with a Virtual Assistant, has 16 GB of internal memory, contains a microSD card slot and supports Android applications. The Classic features the BlackBerry Assistant, BlackBerry Hub and BlackBerry Messenger video calling and also includes an 8-megapixel camera with auto-focus and LED flash, as well as a 5-megapixel front-facing camera.
