President Barack Obama authored an autobiography called "Dreams From My Father: A Story of Race and Inheritance." The book was published in 1995 at a time when Obama was at the beginning of his political career. It chronicles Obama's life story up to his admission to law school.
Since its release, "Dreams From My Father" has earned high critical praise. The autobiography has been translated into more than 25 languages, including Chinese and Hebrew. In 2006, an audio version narrated by Obama won a Grammy Award for best spoken word album. The book has also been adapted into a children's version. A second printing of the book was released in 2004.
