Odysseus and his men escape Polyphemus by clinging to the bellies of Polypehmus's sheep as they are let out to graze. Polyphemus has been blinded and does not see Odysseus and his men as they sneak away.
On their journey from the Trojan War to Greece, Odysseus and his crew happen upon a cave with food and drinks inside. The crew happily indulges and falls asleep. Polyphemus, a cyclops, returns from grazing his sheep and finds the men. In a rage, Polyphemus eats two of the men and blocks the entrance to the cave. In a battle of wits, Odysseus manages to blind Polyphemus and eventually escapes.
