Office Depot offers paper-shredding services in all of its store locations for a fee based on the weight of the paper. The office supplier processes smaller jobs for safely discarding documents in-store, while larger jobs are handled by an outside company.

Office Depot's large-scale discarding of documents is safeguarded in secure bins in-store for the outside vendor to pick up and properly dispose. An option to schedule a pickup for unwanted materials is also available to customers. Documents are accepted as-is without the need to remove paper clips or staples. This document-shredding service also applies to OfficeMax locations as a result of a merger between the two entities.
