What is the official name of ginger ale and sherbet punch?

Punch made with ginger ale and sherbet may be called by different names, depending on the other ingredients present in the beverage. When made with raspberry sherbet, pineapple juice and ginger ale, the punch is called a raspberry sherbet punch.

Paula Deen of the Food Network provides a recipe for lime sherbet punch. This sherbet contains ginger ale and lime sherbet, in addition to fresh lemon and lime slices, maraschino cherries and pineapple juice. Another drink made with ginger ale and rainbow sherbet is called holiday punch. The recipe for holiday punch includes cranberry juice, three citrus juices and additional sugar for extra sweetness.
