Is it okay to give your child the answers to their homework?

Parents should not give their child the answers to their homework, according to KidsHealth. Homework is a way for teachers to gauge how much of the class instruction the student absorbed.
Instead of giving a child answers to homework, parents should help to create a supportive environment during homework time. They should help establish a homework routine or strategy that ensures the child completes all her assignments on time. During the scheduled homework time, parents should be there to help their child interpret the questions on homework assignments. Sometimes applying a question to the “real world†helps her to understand it better and to come up with an answer on her own.
