How old was Albert Einstein when he died?

Albert Einstein died at the age of 76 on April 18, 1955. He suffered from an abdominal aortic aneurysm that caused internal bleeding. He was taken to the hospital but refused treatment and died the next morning.

Einstein was born on March 14, 1879 in Ulm, Wuerttemberg, Germany. He married Mileva Marec in 1901, and they had two sons. Their marriage ended in divorce, and Einstein married again in 1917, this time to his cousin, Elsa Einstein. He completed the general theory of relativity in 1915 and won the Nobel Prize for Physics in 1921, for his explanation of the photoelectric effect .
