Are there open auditions for the Disney Channel?

As of 2015, the Disney Channel does periodically hold open casting calls. Open to the general public, the open calls do not operate on a fixed schedule and can occur in a number of different locations.

The Disney Channel posts any currently available open casting calls on its website. Open call auditions are free to attend. Newcomers with little to no previous acting experience should look for castings run by freelance casting directors. Castings run by in-house directors usually seek established actors for starring roles in television series and movies. Newcomers can usually only expect to land a supporting role. Live theater experience is helpful.
