How do you open OFT files?

As of 2014, OFT files are primarily used with Microsoft software. They can be used with Microsoft Office files, but they are typically used for Microsoft Outlook email file templates.

1. Make sure you have the software

   To open an OFT file, you need to have Microsoft Office or Microsoft Outlook installed on your computer. Files with this extension do not open if one of these programs is not installed on your system.

2. Locate the file

   Access the window where the OFT file is located. Right-click on the file name. Select Open With and Choose Default Program from the drop menu.

3. Locate and select the file

   Select the file with the OFT extension. If desired, check the box next to the phrase that reads Always Use The Selected Program to Open this Kind of File. Click OK.
