Are ornamental peppers edible?

Ornamental peppers are edible, but their flavor is often lacking in comparison to other peppers that are specifically grown for consumption. Ornamental peppers are great for decorating because they come in a variety of different colors, which include orange, yellow and even purple.
Ornamental peppers require attention and care like all other plants. They must be kept in full sun and in well-drained soil. They can reach heights of between 1 and 3 feet and bloom in both the fall and summer. They do well in small containers and are classified as low-maintenance plants.
Different types of ornamental peppers include the Sangria plant and the Pretty in Purple plant.
