Do Ouija boards really work?

The Ouija board primarily consists of a flat board and a pointer that is used as a divination tool. Users touch their fingertips to the pointer and wait until it moves, spelling out words and messages. While many people consider the Ouija board to be a harmless parlor game, some Christian denominations believe that its use can lead to demonic possession. The Ouija board was patented as the "Ouija Egyptian Luck-Board" by attorney Elijah Bond in 1891.
