The owner of the Los Angeles Clippers is Steve Ballmer, as of July 2015. Ballmer is a former Microsoft employee and the richest American sports team owner, with a net worth of 22.5 billion dollars.

Steve Ballmer purchased the Los Angeles Clippers from Donald Sterling in August 2014. The NBA commissioner forced Donald Sterling to sell the team after a voice recording leaked of him making racist comments to his girlfriend. The commissioner also banned Sterling for life, preventing him from owning any future teams. In 2015, the Clippers released a new team logo under the ownership of Steve Ballmer in an attempt to rebrand the basketball club.
