PNC Bank is the principal subsidiary of PNC Financial Services Group. The parent company, incorporated on Jan. 19, 1983, is a financial services company headquartered in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. As of 2015, PNC is the seventh largest bank in the United States with $362.13 billion in assets.
PNC Bank servers customers in more than 17 states, primarily in the mid-Atlantic, the Midwest, and the Southeast. Outside of retail banking through its flagship subsidiary PNC Bank, PNC offers corporate and institutional banking, asset management, and residential mortgage banking. The company owns an equity investment in BlackRock, a publicly traded asset management firm.
