What are the parts of a ceramic heater?

Ceramic heaters have ceramic plates with wires inside that create heat from electricity, aluminum baffles that heat up and a fan that blows the generated heat into a living space. Ceramic plate temperatures are controlled using a non-feedback or a feedback control system.

A non-feedback system can be set using a timer, either mechanical or digital, or by controlling the amount of voltage the heater receives. A dial with different settings for low, medium and high heat is the most common type of non-feedback control. Feedback control is accomplished using a thermocouple to measure the temperature of the plates and is usually controlled by a thermostat and/or a heat sensor. The heater powers down when a pre-set temperature is reached.
