What are the parts of a zipper?
By Forinfos - 03/08/2025 - 0 comments
A zipper contains a large number of components, but the three major parts include the slider, the elements and the tape. The top stop and the bottom stop can be located at the top and the bottom of a zipper, respectively.
The slider serves to join or separate the elements of a zipper when it's opened or closed. It comes in various types, depending on its use. The elements, also known as "the teeth,"are parts on each side of a zipper that mesh together as they pass through the slider. When the elements are joined together, they are referred to as the "chain." The tape is typically made out of polyester, synthetic fiber, cotton or vinyl.
