The Pascack Valley Line, part of the Metro Transit Authority Metro-North Railroad service, runs a reduced service weekend schedule. The weekend schedule also runs on holidays.

Although the Pascack Valley Line is part of the MTA's Metro-North Railroad service, it is operated by the New Jersey Transit Authority. The route takes travelers up the western side of the Hudson River from Hoboken, New Jersey, to Spring Valley, New York. Commuters starting their journey in New York City must take the PATH train from Penn Station at 33rd Street in Manhattan to Hoboken before continuing on their journey on the Pascack Valley Line. The final three stations of the line are considered part of Metro-North.
