There are two types of Jack and Jill parties: those that are meant as a fundraiser for the couple, and those that serve as a stag and doe, or joint wedding shower. According to Canadian Living, Jack and Jill fundraising parties are planned, hosted and paid for by the bride and groom in hopes of raising extra money for their wedding festivities.
