How does a pellet boiler heat homes?

A pellet boiler heats homes in the same way as a traditional gas or oil boiler, by heating up water that is then transported around the home through a plumbing system. Generally, a pellet boiler uses wood pellets or wood chips and is considered more environmentally friendly than traditional boilers.
A wood pellet boiler is made up of three distinct parts: a boiler, a hopper and a storage container. The storage container is used to store the wood pellet that is used as fuel by the boiler. A hopper reduces the amount of work needed to keep the boiler running as it can automatically add more wood pellets to the combustion chamber when needed.
