How does a person write a promotion letter?

People should write a letter requesting a promotion by homing in on what they've brought to the table thus far. Those achievements become the subject of discussion.

The goal is to show they've gone above and beyond. Those last three words are the keyword. They can do that by giving specific examples of how they've been exemplary, for example, if they've doubled their sales goals in only 3 months, compared with a year for most employees.

They must clearly identify the job they're seeking and show that they understand what the new role would entail, and why they can fulfill the role.

The document should be presented in a personal business letter format.
