How does a PERT chart compare with a Gantt chart?
By Forinfos - 23/11/2025 - 0 comments
PERT charts and Gantt charts are organizational tools used in project management. PERT charts organize projects sequentially, while Gantt charts organize projects by listing individual tasks separately.
A Gantt chart is straightforward. Tasks are individually listed and tracked by percent complete. This allows project managers to tackle and track tasks separately and works particularly well for smaller, less complex projects.
A PERT (Program Evaluation and Review Technique) chart presents tasks sequentially as they branch out from other tasks, indicating how tasks are interrelated and in what order they must go. A PERT chart also estimates the time needed to complete each task.
