What is a puppy cut for a Bichon Frise?

A Bichon Frise puppy cut, also known as a lamb trim or lamb cut, is a way of grooming a Bichon Frise breed of dog such that the dog has closely-cropped fur all over its trunk and legs. The fur on the head and tail is left long.
This is in contrast to the show cut, a grooming style that is required by the American Kennel Club for any Bichon Frise participating in a dog show. The show cut trims the outer fur of the dog's coat while keeping the undercoat unshaven and follows the contours of the dog's body. The result is a round, fluffy appearance, with much of the hair kept long. Puppy cuts are lower-maintenance than show cuts as only the dog's head and tail need combing.
