A consumer who discovers a discrepancy in his TransUnion credit report can file a dispute by contacting the bureau at 800-916-8800. Live agents are available Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 11 p.m. EST.
A consumer can also file a dispute online by visiting dispute.transunion.com. After creating a TransUnion account, an individual can log in at any time to view the status of the dispute, take additional action, check other pending requests and view his personal credit report. An individual can open a dispute by mail by printing and returning the completed form found on the bureau website to TransUnion Consumer Solutions, P.O. Box 2000, Chester, PA 19022-2000.
