A physical action verb is an action verb that describes a physical action. For example, throw and sit are both physical action verbs because they describe someone's actions.
Action verbs can be continuous or non-continuous. Continuous action verbs are also known as physical action verbs because they describe an action that is currently in progress. Non-continuous action verbs are also known as mental action verbs, because they describe an action that you cannot see, such as thinking or considering. They also describe emotional states such as love and hate, communication states such as disagree and impress, senses such as hear and smell and other uncategorized states or actions.
