What is a plant dictionary?

A plant dictionary contains a database of plant names and descriptions, to allow individuals to search for a specific plant and find information on it. Typical information includes the type of plant, how large it grows and ideal weather conditions for plant survival.

A plant dictionary details information on what light enables the plant to grow best; and, some offer garden design plans that work well with a specific type of plant or flower. A plant dictionary describes special features about each plant. For example, the balloon flower plant attracts birds, grows well in containers, and requires relatively low maintenance.
