How do you plant watermelons?

To plant watermelons, plant the seeds 8 to 10 feet apart in small mounds of soil in a location with a lot of room and good drainage. Water the seeds immediately, and add 1 inch of water per week until the watermelons are ready to harvest.

1. Select and prepare the site

   Plant seeds in a location with a lot of room, good drainage and 8 to 10 hours of sunlight. Add compost or fertilizer to the soil, and make small mounds spaced 8 to 10 feet apart.

2. Plant the seeds and cultivate

   Plant the seeds 1 inch deep in each mound. Cover the seeds with soil, and water them immediately, and continue watering them with 1 inch of water per week.

3. Harvest the watermelons

   Once the watermelons are mature, harvest them using shears to snip them from the vine.
