How do you play electronic chess?

To play online chess, it is necessary to first find a website that hosts live games. One example of such a site is chess.com. The only information required of the individual is a user name and password. After signing in, the user is given a plethora of opponents with which to play chess.

1. Find the website

   Once the computer's Internet browser is opened, type chess.com into the URL. After the page loads, it should show a green background with a pawn in the upper left hand corner of the screen.

2. Enter user information

   Under the pawn in the corner, there is a button that reads Play. Clicking this redirects you to a screen where a user name and password are required to proceed. Under these boxes is another link that enables a new account to be created. Click this link, and enter all necessary credentials.

3. Begin to play

   After creating an account and signing in, you have the opportunity to begin playing. Look at the menu to find the Play option. Clicking this opens a new window where the game is played. To move the chess pieces, simply click them, and drag them to an ideal spot on the board.
