What is Pokemon Pearl Pokedex?

The first Pokédex in Pokémon Pearl is a native Sinnoh version of the Pokédex and features an incomplete list of 151 Pokémon native to the region. This initial list includes the region's starting Pokémon as well as their respective evolutions, but it is missing some Pokémon from the generation.

Later in the Pokémon Pearl game, the player can obtain a National Dex item, which has information on the entire roster of Pokémon contained in the database. The Sinnoh version of the Pokédex is shared between the Pokémon Pearl and Diamond versions, though there are some Pokémon that are unique to their respective games.
