Do pomeranians have hair or fur?

The Pomeranian breed has a double coat that is considered fur, although fur and hair are often used interchangeably when describing a dog's coat. A single coat is called a hair coat.
Dogs with a fur coat have two types of fur growing from the same follicle, a short undercoat of dense insulating fur and an overcoat of guard hairs. Pomeranians tend to have a long topcoat and are a breed noted for having alopecia or an unexplained loss of hair as well as displaying normal shedding patterns. Dogs with fur coats should be brushed on a regular basis, according to the American Kennel Club.
