What is Popin' Cookin'?

Popin' Cookin' is a range of do-it-yourself candy products that are produced in Japan and are shaped to resemble various food dishes, such as sushi and hamburgers. Inside the product package are powdered ingredients which must be mixed with water before they can be combined into various food shapes.

The Popin' Cookin' Happy Sushi House product, for example, allows the creation of various sushi shapes by combining six different bags of candy ingredient powder. Once mixed with water, the ingredients can take the visual shape of rice, egg, tuna, seaweed or salmon roe. Candies made using this particular set can taste either of grape or soda.
