What are some popular banks in the United States?

Wells Fargo, JP Morgan Chase and Bank of America are all popular banks in the United States. Rounding out the top five are U.S. Bankcorp and The PNC Financial Service Group.

As of June 2014, Wells Fargo had the largest number of branches in the country, with 6,314. It was also the third largest in terms of deposits and fourth largest in total assets. JP Morgan Chase ranked number one in terms of total assets, number two in total deposits and second in total number of branches, with 5,682. Though Bank of America was third in terms of number of branches, it was number one in total deposits.
