It is possible to get tiny red dots around the eyes after vomiting, according to Mayo Clinic. The condition is called petechiae, and it has a number of causes, including straining after vomiting.
Petechiae are tiny spots that appear under the skin as a result of tiny blood vessels bleeding, according to Mayo Clinic.. Straining after vomiting, coughing and crying are some of the more common causes of the condition and are not a cause for concern. However, petechiae can be a sign of more serious conditions such as a parvovirus infection, strep throat, scarlet fever, mononucleosis and endocarditis. Petechiae caused in this manner usually result from viral, fungal or bacterial infections and should be examined by a doctor.
