Do post offices still carry 1040 booklets?

IRS 1040 booklets and forms are available in the post offices of many communities, the IRS says. The forms are generally available during the taxpaying season.

Taxpayers may also find IRS forms in local libraries, Fair Mark reports. Many libraries have paper forms available for taxpayers to photocopy or forms on CD-ROM that visitors can print.

Additionally, taxpayers can download forms and publications from IRS.gov, states the IRS. To access the forms online, visit the website and click the Forms & Pubs heading at the top of the page. Taxpayers can also order forms by phone or pick up copies at local IRS offices.
