What products contain benzoyl peroxide?

Benzoyl peroxide is found in skin care products, such as Clearasil, Benzac, Acnigel, Clearskin, Pacnex, Peroderm, Triaz, Fostex and ZoDerm. It is used as an ingredient in creams, soaps, lotions and gels that are used to treat mild to moderate forms of acne and is for topical use only.

Products with benzoyl peroxide should be kept away from children and should not come in contact with hair, mouth, nose or eyes. It should also not be applied to areas of the skin where other lotions, bandages, dressings, cosmetics or skin medications are used, unless instructed to do so by a doctor. Possible side effects of benzoyl peroxide use are hives, rash, redness, swelling, stinging, peeling of skin, burning and difficulty breathing.
