Ford's proprietary GPS system, included with Ford Sync 3, is highly rated by PC Magazine, Computer World and Auto Guide. It is praised for its speedy updates and quick response time.

The navigation system included with Ford Sync 3 includes the speed limit of the current street and quick screen updates when navigating complex roads, such as freeway interchanges. The menu and address screens have been updated to look more similar to popular GPS brands Garmin and Tom Tom. For those who prefer to use the system hands free, updates to the speech recognition software have been praised along with its accuracy.
