What is the purpose of data management systems?
By Forinfos - 13/04/2026 - 0 comments
A data management system allows multiple users to create, update and manage data. All of these actions take place in a database.
A DMS is essential for keeping data accessible and well organized. It allows users to access and modify data, no matter where they are, and keeps the data well controlled. The users who modify files never need to know where the data is stored, keeping the data protected.
There are several types of DMS servers in use. They include cloud-based data management systems, NoSQL servers and in-memory database management systems. Each has its own advantages and disadvantages, and some are more practical that others, depending on the type of data being manipulated and stored.
